Signs of declining mental health include certain behaviour patterns or feelings like:
Excessive or insufficient eating or sleeping, isolating oneself from people and usual activities, feeling emotionally numb, sudden substance abuse, sudden bursts of outrage, hearing voices or feeling the need to senselessly harm oneself or others.
It will also lead to suicide as the person becomes more desperate to free oneself from the emotional pain.
Declining Mental Health Affects Our Body, Lives & Loved ones
Declining mental health can affect the physical strength and health of the body, as the person gradually loses full capacity to control or function well.
This in turn can lead to the degradation of the quality of life, and cause the affected person’s loved ones to also suffer. It could lead to divorce, job loss or poor quality of work amongst others.
